Quick, easy and super delicious!
Honestly, Iāve never made chutney before in my life, but this one turned out phenomenal. I had two soft pears sitting on the counter, and since Iāve been completely obsessed with my 5-minute jam recipes lately, I thought⦠why not try it with pears too? I mean, what could go wrong? š
ā¦But since I was already slicing onions for another recipe, I decided to make chutney out of it, and Iām so glad I did!

Ingredients
š 2 ripe pears
š§ half an onion
š lemon juice
šÆ honey
š§ garlic powder, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger to taste
Method
Finely chop the onion and sautƩ it in a little olive oil until soft and fragrant
Add the spices: garlic powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger
Dice the pears into small cubes and add them to the pan, stirring over medium heat until they start to release their juices
Drizzle with lemon juice and add honey to taste
Cover and let it simmer until it thickens and has a glossy texture
Just like with jam, spoon it into small jars, it keeps for a few days in the fridge (though trust me, it wonāt last that long š ).
You can adjust the flavor to your liking, I added plenty of ginger for a little kick and didnāt hold back on the honey either. Thatās what makes it truly rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced, just how a chutney should be.

Itās perfect with meats, grilled dishes, or even salmon. Of course, I made mine to serve with baked camembert, and let me tell you, it was an absolutely divine combo. š
Tag me if you try it! š
