10-Minute Magic: My 3-Ingredient Blueberry Jam

Updated: Aug 21

Some recipes feel like pure kitchen alchemy - simple ingredients transforming into something far greater than the sum of their parts. ✨

And this blueberry jam? It’s exactly that.

Three ingredients. Ten minutes. A jar full of pure, juicy goodness that tastes like summer mornings in the countryside. 🌿💙

The Beauty of Simplicity

I’ve always loved the idea of homemade jams, but honestly, the thought of hours of cooking, complicated jam fixes, and giant bubbling pots… not my vibe anymore haha.

Two years ago, I made a “proper” jam for the very first time - from grapes I harvested in my tiny house garden. 🍇 It was a slow, messy, but a magical process, bubbling away on the stove, filling the air with that nostalgic jam-making scent. That grape jam felt like such an accomplishment, a sweet little reminder of the fruits of patience and homegrown joy.

This blueberry jam, however, is the opposite: quick, effortless, but just as rewarding in its own way. Sometimes we need slow and traditional, and sometimes we need 10 minutes of magic. I love having both in my kitchen storybook.

So this year I started experimenting with quick, healthy alternatives - and this little recipe is now one of my all-time favorites. It’s fresh, fruity, and feels indulgent without any fuss.

Plus, it doesn’t require any additives. Just fruit, honey, and chia seeds doing their magic.

The Recipe - 3 Ingredients Only

Here’s all you need:

  • 250 g fresh blueberries 🫐

  • 3 tablespoons honey (or swap for sugar or your favorite sweetener) 🍯

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (this will make it jelly-like) ✨

Method

  1. Add the blueberries and honey to a saucepan and warm over medium heat, stirring gently until the berries soften and start to bubble

  2. Take a fork and mash the fruit a little, not too much, you still want some juicy pieces left

  3. Stir in the chia seeds and let the mixture thicken for a few more minutes

  4. Spoon into mini jars, let cool, and that’s it

No jam fix, no tricks - just natural, homemade goodness.

How I Love to Enjoy It

This jam has the perfect balance of sweet and tart, with that delicate nutty hint from the chia. I love spreading it on fresh bread, swirling it into yogurt, or my personal favorite: pairing it with creamy burrata on toasted baguette. (Yes, burrata again… and I regret nothing 😍).

A Little Jar of Happiness

There’s something magical about lining up those mini jars and realizing you’ve created a homemade jam in minutes. It feels cozy, nourishing, and just a little bit fancy.

So if you’ve ever dreamed of making your own jam, but felt intimidated - this recipe is for you.

Give it a try, and let this little jar of joy brighten up your mornings. 💙
